USAGE Dulux Weathershield Waterproof is a dedicated waterproofing substance containing a special acrylic polymer

which repels water, enhancing water resistance for use on the exterior cement and concrete walls of houses.

Dulux Weathershield Waterproof impedes water from seeping into the walls, protecting the house walls from the growth of unsightly fungus, algae and black spots.

COLOUR RANGE FILM PROPER

DWP is specially formulated to deliver excellent waterproofing, good fungus and algae resistance, easy application, superb adhesion on cement and concrete surfaces as well as good alkali resistance. In addition, DWP contains no harmful heavy metals

SURFACE PREPARATION

Environment temperature of 300C and air humidity of 80%

1 – 2 hours.

6-8 hours after applying the 1st coat

Dulux Weathershield Waterproof obtains absolute hardness after 7 days

Theoretical coverage is 2 - 2.5 m2 /kg depending on the thickness applied.

Brush, roller.

- The surface must be clean, dry & stable. Remove old paint, dirt, plaster, fungus and algae by using a high pressure water jet or scraper. Use Dulux Weathershield Fungicidal Wash (A980-

19260) for surfaces attacked with fungus or algae. For very dry and absorbent surfaces - wet with clean water before application of Dulux Weathershield Waterproof.

- For surfaces suffering from hairline cracks, first apply 3 coats of

Dulux Weathershield Waterproof. For larger cracks, the crack

should be carved out into a “V” shape until free from loose material then plastered with a mixture of 5 parts of sand: 3 part of grey cement: 0.8 parts of Dulux Water Proof before applying water proof as usual

Notes: Do not apply Dulux Weathershield Waterproof during rain or in wet conditions to obtain best waterproofing and appearance.

CLEANING UP

Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use

PAINT SYSTEM

Prepare the mixture with cement PCB 40 onwards in the following

ratio:

0.5 litre of water 1kg of grey cement 1kg of Dulux

Weathershield Waterproof

or 0.5 litre of water 1kg of white cement 1kg of Dulux

Weathershield Waterproof

Add cement to water. Stir well until free from lumps. Then add Dulux Weathershield Waterproof and stir again until a smooth, homogeneous mixture is produced.

Use mixture within 2 hours of preparation. Tools: brush or roller.

Application: 2-3 coats.

Dulux Weathershield Waterproof can also be used by itself without mixing with cement. Stir well before applying.

SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

• Avoid contact with skin. May cause sensitisation by skin contact.

• Using the product together with cement will do harm for skin and eyes if contacting

• Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse affects in the aquatic environment.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not breathe vapour/spray. Wear dust mask on using.

• Wear PVC gloves.

• Use only in well ventilated areas.

• In case of swallowing, seek medical advice immediately and bring together the product can or product label.

• Wear suitable eye protection glasses when application. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice immediately.

• Do not release to sewers or water supplies.

• Avoid release to the environment. In case of spillage, collect with sand or soil.

• Do not re-use the can for containing foods and beverages.
