Aplplication:

Concrete,  stone  and  masonry  surfaces  should  be  clean,  free  from  oil, grease and all loosely adhering particles. Metal surfaces (iron and steel) should be free from scale, rust, oil and grease. Absorbent surfaces should be  saturated  thoroughly.

Under  normal  circumstances,  when  the  full  quantities  of  both  compo- nents  are  mixed  together,  a  slurry  consistency  will  result.  The  consis- tency of the mix can be altered by reducing the amount of component A (liquid)  to  be  used.  For  a  trowellable  consistency,  use  only  90%  of  com- ponent A.  Mix  in  a  clean  container  by  slowly  adding  the  powder  compo-

nent  to  the  liquid  component  and  stir  with  slow  speed  electric  stirrer (max. 500 rpm) or a forced action (pan type) mixers for minimum 3 min- utes.

When  used  as  a  tile  adhesive  or  bonding  agent,  apply  to  the  desired thickness  with  a  notched  trowel.  For  tiling,  press  the  tiles  firmly  into  the place whilst the adhesive is still wet. When used as a filling compound or skim  coat  apply  with  a  spatula  or  trowel  to  desired  profile  and  finish smooth.

In warm or windy weather, the use of standard curing methods are neces- sary to prevent premature drying out of mortar.

Clean  all  tools  and  equipment  with  clean  water  immediately  after  use.

Hardened  material  can  only  be  removed  mechanically.

Install  the  tiles  while  SikaTop121  layer  is  still  tacky

Protect  the  freshly  applied  SikaTop  121  from  rains  for  24  hours.

In  case  of    use  in  permanently  wet  structure  (swimming  pool,  below grade  protection  coat  e.t.c),  allow  SikaTop  121  to  cure  for  min.  1  week before  the  structure  is  put  into  service  or  before  it  is  immersed  perma- nently   under water.
