One-part,  neutral  curing,  silicone  sealant  suitable  for  indoor  and  outdoor applications  used  to  provide  weatherproof  adhesive  joints  between  a variety of substrates.

Uses:

Sikasil C combines high elasticity and flexibility with excellent adhesion to a variety of non porous substrates and is therefore suitable for glazing and weatherproofing applications on non porous substrates such as

Glass

Metals

Painted  surfaces

Wood

Acrylics

Polycarbonates

Ceramic  tiles

Sanitary  applications.

Application:

This sealant is ready to use.After suitable joint preparation and masking the sealant is gunned into place and tooled within 5 minutes, using a spatula which has been dipped in soapy water. Masking tape is then removed imme- diately.  Uncured  material  can  be  removed  by using suitable  solvent.  Cured  material  may  be  removed    by  other  mechanical  means.

In  general  the  minimum  joint  width    should  be  6mm  .Up  to  joint

dimensions  of  max.12mm  depth,  Width  to  Depth  ratio  of  2:1  should be  respected.

Do  not  use  on  bituminous  substrate,  natural  rubber  or  on  building materials which might bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents.

Bleeding can occur on porous substrate therefore specific testing should be carried out

Sikasil  -C  is  not  recommended  for  use  in  submerged  joints  or  in joints  where  physical  abuse  are  likely  to  occur.

Sikasil-c  is  not  recommended  for  food  contact  application,  and structural  glazing  application

Sikasil-C is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical  uses.

Do  not  dispose  uncured  Sikasil  C  into  water.

According to local law

To  avoid  any  allergic  skin  reaction  wear  gloves.  Wash  hands  after

finishing  application.  Provide  good  ventilation  during  application  of  this

product.
