Sikasil-E  is  a  one  part  low  modulus  moisture  curing  silicone  sealant.

Uses:

Sikasil-E  combines  high  elasticity  and  flexibility  with  excellent  adhesion to a variety of non porous substrates and is therefore suitable for glazing and  weatherproofing  applications  on  non  porous  substrates  such  as;

Glass

Glazed  ceramic  tiles

Aluminium

Excellent elasticity and flexibility

Offers  excellent  resistance  to  ageing,shrinkage,cracking  and

discolouring

Solvent free

Excellent  adhesion  to  a  variety  of  non  porous  substrates

Surface must be clean, sound, dry and free from all traces of dust, dirt, rust, oil, grease and other contaminants.

This sealant is ready to use. After suitable joint preparation and masking the  sealant  is  gunned  into  place  and  tooled  within  10  minutes,  using  a spatula  which  has  been  dipped  in  soapy  water.  Masking  tape  is  then removed  immediately.  Uncured  material  can  be  removed  by  using suitable  solvent.  Cured  material  may  be  removed    by  other  mechanical  means.

In  general  the  minimum  joint  width    should  be  6mm  .For  joint dimensions 6-12mm  Width to Depth ratio of 2:1 should be respected.

Do not use on bituminous substrate, natural rubber or on building mate- rials which might bleed oils, plasticizers  or solvents. Bleeding  can  occur  on  porous  substrate  therefore  specific  testing should  be  carried  out

Sikasil  -E  is  not  recommended  for  use  in  submerged  joints  or  in joints  where  physical  abuse  are  likely  to  occur.

Sikasil-E  is  not  recommended  for  food  contact  application  .

Sikasil-E is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical  uses.

Because  acetic  acid  is  released  during  curing  it  can  corrode  mirror

Silver  and  sensitive   metals   such  as  copper  ,brass  and  lead.

To  avoid  any  allergic  skin  reaction  wear  gloves.  Wash  hands  after  finishing  application.  Provide  good  ventilation  during  application  of  this  product.  Do  not  dispose  uncured  Sikasil  E  into  water.
