A ready-to-use, one component, colourless, solvent containing, low vis- cosity, reactive impregnation for absorbent substrate based on siloxane with good penetrative properties. It is water repellent (hydrophobic)
Uses; Advantages:
Sika Aquastop S is used as colourless, non-film forming, non-vapour barrier, water and chloride ion repellent impregnation compound for absorbent substrates e.g.:
Concrete bridges, roadways, runways, parapet walls, etc
Masonry brickwork, stucco, etc
To treat cementitious renderings and façade
Use on steel-reinforced structures to reduce the corrosion potential of chlorides
Economical and easy to use
Reduces capillary water absorption
Reduces dirt penetration and algae growth
Does not act as vapor barrier
Improves resistance to frost and de-icing salts
Reduces efflorescence
Protection against driving rain on vertical areas
Suitable for use on concrete, natural stone, terracotta, wood, limestone, render, bricks
Can be overcoated by most aqueous dispersion paint such as vinyl, acrylic, silicone paints (prior testing is required).
