Sikafloor  2420  is  a  solvent  containing  2-component  epoxy  primer combined  with  adhesion-improving  additives.

Primer  (impregnation)  for  subsequent  Sikafloor  coatings  on  concrete and  cement  screed.  Adhesion-improving  primer  (diluted  2:1)  for particularly,  dense,  non-absorbent  mineral  substrates  (e.g.  Chapdur).

Transparent  sealer  for  low  to  medium  exposure  in  the  field  of  industrial  floors. Also  suited  for  outdoor  applications.

Application:

1.For  subsequent  Sikafloor  toppings  or  coatings 1-2x  Sikafloor  2420  on  normal  absorbent  surfaces.  (in  case  of  friable,

high  absorbent  surface  use  Sikafloor  94  for  priming).

On smooth, dense substrates add 50% Thinner C (by weight) and brush on

Such  smooth  surfaces  should  be  cleaned  thoroughly  as  a  rule  with  an industrial  type  vacuum  cleaner  to  remove  all  dust  and  loose  adherin matter.

2.Impregnation,  dustproofing  of  concrete  substrates

Depending  on  porosity  of  substrate  minimum  2x  Sikafloor  2420,  diluted with 2.5 - 5.0 litres of Thinner C per 10 Kg set of Sikafloor 2420

Prevent formation of puddles

The substrates must be of sufficient strength (compressive strength mini-2 mum  25  N/mm ).  The  surface  should  be  level,  solid  and  dry  as  well  as free from loose, friable particles and oil, etc. The pull-off strength should be above 1.5 N/mm .

Maximum  moisture  content  of  substrate:  4%

Not  sufficiently  solid  layers  and  oily  contamination  must  be  removed mechanically,  e.g.  by  scabbling  or  blast-cleaning.

Prior to application of Sikafloor 2420, both components A + B have to be mixed intensively with an electrical or pneumatical stirrer of 300 - 400  rpm.

Mixing  time  is  minimum  3  minutes,  but  it  may  take  longer  until  a homogenous  mixture  is  achieved.
